Risto gründete die Band im Januar 2023. as if spielen einen Stil, der irgendwo im Niemandsland zwischen Stoner Rock, Psycedelic, Grunge und Progressive Rock liegt. Die Stimmung in den Songs ist oft melancholisch aber dennoch energetisch.
